Industrial Metrology and
Testing Service Centre

MTC provides services in testing and calibration of scientific measuring devices in various applications, for instance, metrology instruments, electrical and electronic meters, photometric instruments, measuring instruments for temperature, humidity, mechanical engineering, and chemical analysis instruments. MTC also provide services in testing and analysis of industrial products and raw materials for export, registration with Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and applying for standard certifications from the Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and the Thai Community Product Standard (TCPS). Moreover, MTC provides mechanical testing with both destructive and non-destructive methods, testing of materials and products according to fire safety regulations, biological and biochemical analysis of various products, such as food, water, minerals, pigments, petrochemical products, drugs and cosmetics, etc.

Material Properties Analysis and
Development Centre

MPAD provides service in testing and analysis of materials and products, particularly metallic materials, including component, products, process structure, equipment boiler pressure vessels, automotive parts, etc. Its laboratories have successfully been awarded ISO/IEC 17025 certification; therefore, the centre is very well qualified to render consultancy service for laboratory accreditation, as well as, consultancy service and solution to the problems on failure of materials, evaluation of performance of components, product improvement and risk assessment in production processes. Nowadays, MPAD can provide service on biodegradable testing of materials both inside and outside the country.

Railway Transportation System Testing Centre

RTTC is ready for providing service on safety and performance testing for railway system components, certification on railway system products, safety testing and safety evaluation on vibration, testing and development on materials and products for brake system, testing and development on bogie and bogie components, development on technologies for monitoring performance and maintenance, and consultancy service to entrepreneurs.

RTTC provides testing service to Thai entrepreneurs in railway system components who involving in many railways system projects in Thailand, e.g. Track Rehabilitation Project (Phase 6) for Northwestern line, Track Strengthening Project for Track Construction Project for Rangsit – Ban Phachi – Map Kabao Stations. Track Strengthen Project for Track Construction Project for Khlong Sip Kao Junction Station – Sud Saphan Khlong Luk. Track Strengthening Project for Unsafe Track between Ban Dara Junction Station – Sawankalok, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA)’s Purple Line Project for Bang Yai – Bang Sue (the 6th Contract: Railway Construction Phase).

Moreover, RTTC also provide railways testing for the railway project in foreign countries, e.g. Railway Extension Project (Twin Track) for East – West line, in Singapore; Railway Construction Project for Yenvien – Laocai, in Vietnam; Railway Extension Project for Bishan route, in Singapore (SMRT) and ; Railway Construction Project in Roy Hill Mine, in Australia

Thai Packaging Centre

TPC is the national agency to provide packaging testing service, consultancy service and to develop packaging to meet national and international quality standards, in order to maintain the quality of products and reduce the loss of products caused from non-standard packaging. TPC also conduct R&D on packaging technology, in order to add value to the products and increase efficiency of its export, as well as, promote knowledge of packaging technology to industrial sector, people and interested persons, in order to uplift packaging standards in Thailand. Moreover, TPC provides materials and packaging testing service, R&D service and consultancy services on packaging technology, information service, training and seminar program on up-to-date packaging technology, and academic papers for disseminating information to the entrepreneurs, exporters, governmental agencies and interested persons.

Office of Certification Body

OCB provides services on evaluation and certification according to international standards of ISO9001, ISO 14001, GMP (Laws), GMP (Codex), HACCP and OHSAS/TIS 18001, in order to support and enhance entrepreneurs in production and hospitality industries. Moreover, OCB provides services on pre-assessment, quality system assessment to the 2nd party audit, as well as, in-house training courses and public training courses to provide knowledge of quality system and international standards to interested people. TISTR’s certificate is also provided to the attendees of the training courses.

OCB performs under the supervision of the Executive Board, consisting of representatives from industrial sector, business sector and governmental sector. As OCB received accreditation from National Accreditations Council (NAC) and National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS), their working systems is confirmed by international standards and be accepted domestically and internationally.
