The Visitation of the Provincial Government of Bukidnon, Republic of the Philippines to TISTR

On 31 January 2024, Mrs. Sirinan Thubthimthed, Director of the Expert Centre of Innovative Health Food (InnoFood) and relevant researchers warmly welcomed the distinguished delegation from the Provincial Government of Bukidnon, Republic of the Philippines to TISTR headquarters. Mr. Rogelio Neil P. Roque, Governor stated that the primary objective of a benchmarking visit was to learn the best practices and latest trends in the realm of food innovation and visit vegetable & fruit processing facilities.

In this regard, Director Sirinan delivered a welcome speech followed by Dr. Jansuda Kampa, Research Officer gave a presentation on the Food Innovation Service Plant (FISP) and the latest technologies applied in food and beverage processing, especially freeze-drying and vacuum frying technologies. Moreover, the delegation visited FISP and Food Pilot Plant, which was welcomed by Dr. Kulraphat Wachirasiri, Senior Research Officer and Mr. Damrongchai Sithisam-Ang, Research Officer of R&D Group for Bio-industries.

FISP and Food Pilot Plant were established to provide comprehensive business solutions related to innovative food products and beverages utilizing science, technology, and innovation (STI). FISP renders services for entrepreneurs ranging from product concept development, laboratory-based food production to commercial technology incubation, which helps mitigate risks while creating new opportunities to meet rapidly changing market demands in the dynamic food business.
