On 1 February 2023, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR together with Dr. Pattra Maneesin, Deputy Governor of Industrial Services were honoured to attend the opening ceremony of ProPak Philippines 2023 at World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City, The Philippines. Propak Philippines is the leading international processing and packaging trade event for the Philippines. The event highlights innovation and advancement in processing, manufacturing, and packaging technology, as well as connecting international sellers and regional buyers in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. Propak Philippines is organized by Informa Markets and supported by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and many more.
On this auspicious occasion, TISTR Governor signed a Letter of Intent with Honorable Blesila A. Lantayona, Undersecretary for Regional Operations Group, DTI with the objectives to exchange knowledge on packaging innovation and technology trends for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), increase the competitiveness of both countries through sustainable technology and innovation, co-develop and implement projects that promote and enable technology adoption for MSMEs.
In addition, TISTR executives visited the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC) under DTI. PTTC is the partner of MSMEs, providing trade-related training programs, skills building, and technology adaptation in order to enable them to progress as productive, competitive, resilient, and sustainable enterprises.
