Dr. Pratip Vongbandit, Deputy Governor R&D for Sustainable Development of TISTR was an invited panelist to the International Conference on Innovation, Technology Transfer and Cooperation for Addressing Climate Change on 6 December 2022 at the United Nations Conference Centre – UNCC. The conference was hosted by the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT).
The conference focused on the importance of technologies that responding to the challenge of climate change and zero emission. It was aimed to explore the best practices to leverage technologies and innovations on renewable energy, low-carbon vehicles, and natural disaster mitigations.
Dr. Pratip Vongbandit was the panelist of the Technical Session : Panel Discussion – Strengthening Regional Cooperation for Adoption of Innovative Technologies for Climate Resilient Cities. He explained the showcase of TISTR projects on biofuel, waste sorting system, Tan Diao Model of municipal waste management and to generate income. Besides, he mentioned the technology of microalgae where having capability to absorb of CO2 , and the microalgae can be utilized or processed in various forms of products e.g. biofuel, food and feed, natural products. These are the potential areas of TISTR and seek for collaboration.
