On 14 October 2026, Dr. Rochana Tangkoonboribun, Deputy Governor of Research and Development, welcomed a delegation from the 2nd Global Economic Forum Annual Meeting Bangkok 2026 (GEF-AM-BKK 2026), led by Mr. Jacky Ong, Chairman of CISW International Co., Ltd., along with international representatives from government, business, investment, and academia at TISTR Head Office.
The visit was facilitated by Ms. Ubon Rerk-Am, Research Expert of the Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb), to connect international investors in the health and wellness sectors with TISTR’s research and innovation capabilities and explore commercialization opportunities.
In this regard, Dr. Sarunya Laovitthayanggoon, Senior Research Officer of InnoHerb, presented the Centre’s research on herbal bioactive compounds and high-value products for the health and wellness industries. The research focuses on enhancing product quality, safety, and commercial potential to support the herbal, health, and wellness industries. The delegation also toured InnoHerb’s laboratories to gain insights into its research and development activities.
In addition, Dr. Tanapuk Inyod, Senior Research Officer of the Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg), guided the delegation through the mycology laboratories, highlighting mushroom technologies and value-added applications of biological resources.
The visit strengthened international networking and opened opportunities for research collaboration, technology transfer, and innovation commercialization, supporting Thailand’s industrial competitiveness and sustainable economic growth in line with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy.
