Discussion on Standards, Intellectual Property, and Technology Transfer between TISTR and the Yunnan Administration for Market Regulation

Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) welcomed a delegation from Yunnan Administration for Market Regulation, accompanied by representatives from the Yunnan Institute of Standardization, Kunming, People’s Republic of China on 15 July 2026 at TISTR, Technopolis.

During the visit, both sides exchanged information and held discussions on intellectual property management, product standards, research commercialization, and technology transfer, while also exploring opportunities to strengthen future collaboration between Thailand and Yunnan Province.

Representatives from TISTR’s Technology and Innovation Management Office, led by
Mr. Jirawat Wattanabut, Director of the Innovative Business Services Division, together with representatives from the Innovative Business Development Division and researchers from the Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb), presented an overview of TISTR’s intellectual property management framework, technology transfer services, and research commercialization activities.

The delegation also visited the Innovative Cosmeceutical Services Center (ICOS) to learn about TISTR’s capabilities in research and development, as well as its testing and product development services for cosmetic and cosmeceutical products.

The visit marks another important milestone in strengthening cooperation between TISTR and the standardization authorities of Yunnan Province. It provides a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices in standards development, intellectual property protection, and the commercialization of research and innovation. The visit is also expected to further enhance scientific, technological, and innovation cooperation between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.
