Dr. Pongsathon Phapugrangkul, Deputy Governor of R&D for Bio-industries of Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), together with Mr. Montree Keawdoung, Director of the Lam Takhong Research Station, represented TISTR at the forum under the “3rd Thai Engineer Training and China–Thailand Smart Agriculture Technology Innovation and Development Program.”
The program was organized under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TISTR & Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), with the objective of serving as a platform for knowledge exchange and capacity building in smart agriculture.
Key seminar topics included:
1. Smart agricultural technology
2. Development of electric agricultural machinery (R&D Case Study of Yunnan Tobacco Seedling Transplanting Compound Operation Machine)
3. Agricultural drones
4. Industrial development training programs for rural revitalization in the Lancang–Mekong region
The seminar was held on 18 December 2025 at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok.
