Dr. Pratip Vongbandit, Deputy Governor Research and Development for Sustainable Development at the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Quality and Innovation (ICQI) 2024. Organized by SIRIM Academy under SIRIM Berhad, this conference took place from November 6-7, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr. Pratip delivered a keynote presentation on “Emerging Technologies Towards Circular Economy for Sustainability: Opportunities and Challenges”, highlighting how cutting-edge technologies can drive a circular economy and support sustainable development. His talk provided insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by industries aiming for a sustainable future.
The ICQI 2024 serves as a global platform for experts from diverse fields to share knowledge and discuss advancements in quality and innovation. This year’s theme, “Design Your Future Sustainability,”emphasizes the role of sustainable practices and innovations in shaping a resilient future.
TISTR and SIRIM Berhad have a long-standing collaboration focused on research, quality standards, and sustainable industrial development. Through initiatives like ICQI, both organizations continue to promote the application of technology and innovation to support a circular economy and raise industry standards.
