On 4 September 2024, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR, signed the MoU with Dr. Mulyadi Sinung Harjono, Director of Utilization of Research and Innovation by Industry and Dr. Achmat Sarifudin, Head of the Research Center for Appropriate Technology from BRIN, an organization vital to driving the development of science, technology, and innovation of Indonesia.
This MoU aims to establish a framework for collaboration between the two organizations in driving research, development, and academic exchange, to better integrate and diversify scientific, technological, and innovative efforts. On this occasion, the executives and personnel from both organizations, including Dr. Krittiya Thisayakorn (Director of the Expert Center of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb)), Dr. Sarunya Laovitthayanggoon (Senior Researcher of InnoHerb), Dr. Waraporn Sorndech (Researcher at the Expert Centre of Innovative Health Food (InnoFood)); and Mrs. Mila Kencana (Head of the Bureau of Legal and Cooperation), along with a team of researchers and participants attended and extended their congratulations at the Trade Mart Building, Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Indonesia.

At the event, Dr.Chutima Eamchotchawalit has signed three (3) cooperation framework agreements with BRIN, including:
1) a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as an agreement between the two organizations
2) an Agreement
3) a Framework Planning
Both 2) and 3) are agreements between TISTR’s sub-organization, InnoFood, and BRIN’s Research Center for Appropriate Technology (RCAT). Currently, both centers are jointly conducting research on the ‘Technological Development of Novel Plant-based Food,’ focusing on the development of high-nutritional-value, plant-based alternative protein food technology to replace animal products and promote sustainability in the food industry.
