On 26 June 2025, Dr. Pratip Vongbandit, Chief Administrative Expert at the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) was honored to serve as a Keynote Speaker at the “9th Biogas Biomass & Bio-Energy Asia Summit 2025”, held in conjunction with the “Waste Management & Waste to Energy Asia Summit 2025.”
The conference aimed to serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge, technological advancements, and experiences among international experts in the fields of biomass energy, bioenergy, and waste management. The event took place at Hotel Nikko Bangkok from 25–27 June 2025.
On this occasion, Dr. Pratip delivered a keynote presentation titled “Biogas as a Carbon Negative Solution: Beyond Renewable Energy to Atmospheric Carbon Removal,” highlighting the potential role of biogas not only as a source of renewable energy, but also as a tool for atmospheric carbon reduction supporting Thailand’s long-term environmental and greenhouse gas mitigation goals.
The summit was attended by a large number of representatives from government agencies, state enterprises, private sector organizations, and international participants involved in the energy and environmental industries.
