On September 22, 2023, Dr. Pattra Maneesin, Deputy Governor of Industrial Services, and Dr. Sorada Wanlapa, Deputy Governor of Research and Development for Bio-industries welcomed H.E. Mr. Zhang Guangjun, Vice Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), People’s Republic of China and the delegation of China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), MOST on the occasion of visiting the Rail Transportation System Testing Center (RTTC), at TISTR Technopolis


On this occasion, TISTR has shared insights through the presentation and laboratory tour, conducted by Dr. Anat Hasap, Director of the Railway Transportation System Testing Centre (RTTC), on the work achievements of RTTC- TISTR, current collaborative projects that promote STI for Safe, Efficient, and Green Rail and Road Transport and also the collaboration of the joint working group between Thai and Chinese agencies consisted of three implementing agencies; CRRC Qingdao Sifang from People’s Republic of China, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) and The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) from Thailand.

The three implementing agencies (CRRC, TISTR, NSTDA) have agreed on developing the railway transportation in line with the Belt and Road Initiative strategy by jointly creating the cooperative platform of China-Thailand Belt and Road Joint Laboratory on Rail Transit or Joint Laboratory in accordance with relevant laws and regulations to ensure the efficient operations in both Thailand and China.
In the first phase of the project, the three agencies (CRRC, TISTR, NSTDA) have successfully cooperated in test and research infrastructures, which was an important element for the Joint Laboratory in the operations forward.
Throughout the event, TISTR also presented the agricultural work for the Big Rock Project operations under the “1 District 1 Agricultural Innovation Project” for expanding the scope of TISTR’s future operations that can help strengthen entrepreneurs, community enterprise, with science, technology and innovation from skills of Thai researchers.

Furthermore, the executive team from CRRC Corporation Limited and CRRC Qingdao Sifang, People’s Republic of China, together with the members of Rail System working group from NSTDA have also joined in this event in the honor of welcoming and visiting the laboratory this time.
