On 30 January 2026, the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) participated in the international seminar “JAIMA Nanotechnology and Carbon Neutral Symposium in Thailand”, organized by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA). The symposium aimed to promote collaboration in nanotechnology, scientific instruments, and technologies supporting the transition toward a low-carbon society in Thailand.
On this occasion, Dr. Nuttapon Vachiraroj, researcher from TISTR, represented the Institute as a speaker and delivered a presentation entitled “Microalgae for Carbon Neutrality: Bio-Based Solutions for a Low-Carbon Society.” The presentation highlighted the potential of microalgae as a bio-based resource to support carbon neutrality goals and sustainable development.
The symposium was honored by the presence of representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Thailand, as well as experts from leading Thai and Japanese organizations, including NANOTEC (NSTDA), Chulalongkorn University, and Kyoto University. Representatives from companies such as JASCO, DKK-TOA, Kyoto Electronics Manufacturing, JEOL, AcroEdge, Horiba, and Shimadzu-Bara Scientific also joined the knowledge-sharing sessions on nanotechnology and low-carbon technologies.
TISTR’s participation in this event reflects the strong and continuous collaboration between TISTR and JAIMA in advancing science, technology, and innovation, in line with Thailand’s policies and Japan’s development initiatives. TISTR remains committed to strengthening international cooperation and advancing research to support sustainable environmental technologies and a low-carbon economy.
