Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) by the Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb) organized the Mini-Symposium 2026 under the theme “Advances in Transmucosal Drug Delivery, Invertebrate Toxicology Models, and Preclinical Research for Herbal Innovation”, on 2 February 2026, at TISTR Technopolis.
The symposium served as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking among researchers and experts in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences, toxicology models, and herbal-based health innovation. It also reflected TISTR’s commitment to translating research into real-world applications, particularly in support of safe and effective natural and herbal products.
The event featured two distinguished international speakers:
- Prof. Dr. Vitaliy Khutoryanskiy, Reading School of Pharmacy, University of Reading, United Kingdom, who delivered a presentation on Advances in Transmucosal Drug Delivery and Invertebrate Toxicology Models.
- Dr. Fhataheya Buang, Senior Research Officer, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), who presented on Strengthening Herbal Innovation Through Preclinical Research.
In addition, the symposium warmly welcomed participants from Silpakorn University and Thammasat University, further strengthening academic and institutional collaboration in the region.
The program included presentations, an open discussion session, and networking opportunities among researchers, supporting future partnerships in drug delivery systems, preclinical evaluation, and herbal innovation.
Through this mini-symposium, TISTR continues to enhance its R&D capacity and foster international cooperation to advance sustainable health innovations for society.
