On 12-13 October 2022, Dr. Pattra Maneesin, Deputy Governor Industrial Services of TISTR and APF Secretariat (Asian Packaging Federation), joined ‘Sustainability’ Working Group, in World Packaging Organization (WPO) Meeting, in Tokyo, Japan. Meeting agenda included ‘WPO Sustainability Portfolio Update’, ‘Food Waste Update’, ‘Global Packaging Design for Recycling Guide Update’, ‘Waste Stream Mapping Guide Update’ and Country Report Session presented by each country member. Also, Dr. Pattra attended WPO Board Meeting. Some meeting agenda included ‘Report of Education Working Group’, ‘Report on Marketing Working Group’, ‘WPO VP Sustainability & Save Food Update’, and ‘WorldStar Update’.
On 14 October 2022, Dr. Pattra Maneesin attended World Packaging Organization (WPO) Conference, as an invited speaker to present ‘Packaging Industry in ASEAN: Current Trend, Issues and Future Prediction’, at Tokyo Big Sigh Conference Tower, in Tokyo, Japan. The conference aimed to share information of development of packaging trends and designs among the countries, and to promote packaging technology, science and engineering in Asia, America, Latin America and Europe. After that, Dr. Pattra visited ‘Tokyo Pack 2022’, the largest international packaging show in Asia, at Tokyo Big Sight.
