The Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), led by Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR, along with Ms. Ubon Rerk-Am, Research Expert and Dr. Sarunya Laovitthayanggoon, Senior Researcher at Expert Center of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb) of TISTR, had the honor of attending the opening ceremony of Fi Vietnam 2024. The event, organized by Informa Markets Thailand, was taking place from 9-11 October 2024 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Vietnam.
During the event, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit was invited as a speaker at the seminar titled “Food Research and Innovation: Driving Business Success.” Her presentation focused on leveraging food research and innovation to drive business growth, highlighting advancements such as plant-based proteins, precision fermented foods using microorganisms, food ingredients, and herbal extracts for health food products. Additionally, she discussed the development of new plant-based food technologies that offer high nutritional value as alternatives to animal products, contributing to business growth, sustainability in the food industry, and addressing the rising global food demand.
Her presentation was part of the technical seminar “Shaping the Future of Food: A Collaborative Approach” which featured experts from both Thai and international organizations, including the Thai Future Food Trade Association (TFA), the Faculty of Agricultural Product Innovation and Technology at Srinakharinwirot University, and the Tastebud Lab / BIO Buddy Company. The seminar attracted a diverse audience of industry leaders, experts, producers, and stakeholders from Vietnam and abroad.
Fi Vietnam 2024 aims to showcase cutting-edge research and innovations in food ingredients, food production techniques, dietary supplements, and ready-to-drink beverages on an industrial scale. The event also features international conferences and technical seminars, providing a platform for attendees to exchange academic insights, discuss future trends in health food demand, and promote the potential of Vietnam’s food ingredient industry.
