TISTR Driving Food Industry Forward with Science, Technology, and Innovation at Fi Asia 2024, Indonesia

Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), led by Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor, had an honor of participating in the opening ceremony and delivering a congratulation message at Fi Asia 2024 (Food Ingredients Asia 2024), organized by Informa Markets Thailand from 4-6 September 2024 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), Indonesia. The event aims to showcase the potential of innovation, research, and development in food ingredients, strengthen the food and beverage ingredients industry in Asia and promote the value addition of local raw materials to the global market as international mass ingredients.

On this occasion, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit and Dr. Waraporn Sorndech, Researcher of Expert Centre of Innovative Health Food (InnoFood), were invited as guest speakers to present on the topic “Role of Research and Innovation with Today’s Food Trend” during the event. The purpose was to share academic information on the role of research and innovation in current food trends, along with an exchange of insights on food demand trends, food production techniques, and responses to food security policies, aimed at fostering sustainability in the food and beverage industry.

In the event, Dr. Krittiya Thisayakorn, Director of Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb) and Dr. Sarunya Laovitthayanggoon, Senior Researcher of InnoHerb, also participated and showcased TISTR’s industrial-scale food and beverage production technologies and innovations in an exhibition. The exhibition featured alternative protein food products containing plant extracts, low-FODMAP diet foods, herbal-based products, and innovative products from Food Innovation Service Plant (FISP) of TISTR.
