On 26 June 2024, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR was honored to attend a welcome reception for the chairs, speakers, and participants from Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, as well as discussed the activities of the 8th STS Forum ASEAN-JAPAN Workshop for the Next 50 Years of ASEAN-JAPAN Science and Technology Cooperation at the Japanese Ambassador’s Residence.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. OTAKA Masato, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand, and Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) delivered the speeches.
The 8th STS Forum ASEAN-JAPAN Workshop was co-organized by the MHESI, National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS Forum), and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) with the support from the Embassy of Japan in Thailand on 27 June 2024 at Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok. The workshop focused on the strategy of artificial intelligence application, human resource development on green talent for industry and research, and nurturing start-ups.
