On 29 May 2024, Dr. Rochana Tangkoonboribun, Director of the Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg), along with a team of researchers and International Relations staff warmly welcomed Dr. Reynaldo V. Ebora, Executive Director of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Republic of the Philippines.
During the meeting, Dr. Rochana delivered an overview presentation of InnoAg’s vision, missions, operations, and successful research showcases. Both parties discussed the potential areas of collaboration, including organic fertilizer production, tissue culture, varietal improvement and selection, plant pest management, post-harvest technology, and exchange of researchers between the two organizations. Moreover, the Director showed Dr. Reynoldo the tissue culture laboratory.
The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) is one of the sectoral councils under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). It plays a pivotal role in steering strategic initiatives by formulating policies, plans, programs, projects, and strategies for science, technology, and innovation development in agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources across the Philippines.
