On 28 May 2024, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) was honored to extend her congratulations to H.E. Mr. Masato Otaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand on the occasion of his assumption of position at The Okura Prestige Bangkok.
In this regard, H.E. Mr. Masato Otaka presided over and delivered the welcome remarks to distinguished guests including foreign diplomats, representatives from various ministries, Japanese companies, and cooperating partners. Additionally, H.E. Mr. Masato Otaka highlighted the strong diplomatic relations and cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education, science and technology, society, and culture between Japan and Thailand.
Furthermore, TISTR has maintained good friendships and continuously conducted collaborative research activities in the fields of life sciences, biotechnology, biodiversity, algae cultivation, forest and water management, renewable energy and biomass technology, and analytical equipment and instruments with Japanese organizations. These include the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University (AGRIKU), Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT), Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA), Biodiversity Division, National Institute for Environmental Studies (BioDiv), Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech), Faculty of Agriculture, Tottori University, and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
