

On 13-14 December 2023, the Thai Packaging Centre (TPC), Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) in cooperation with the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Republic of the Philippines organized an online training on “Packaging for Micro and Small Enterprises” for PTTC officials and Filippino entrepreneurs via Zoom Meeting program.


This training was a kick-off activity, fostering good collaboration between TISTR and PTTC (a training center affiliated with DTI) under the signed Letter of Intent between TISTR and DTI. The objective of the training was to share technical knowledge on packaging technology, innovation, and solutions to mitigate plastic packaging waste for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).



In an online training, we had honourable speakers such as Dr. Supoj Pratheepthinthong, Senior Technical Officer from Packaging Testing Laboratory, TPC lectured on the topic of Affordable Product Packaging Solutions for Micro and Small Enterprises – Effective Product Packaging Solutions and Recent Development in International Product Packaging, Dr. Rewadee Anuwattana, Research Expert of R&D Group for Sustainable Development exemplified on the Sustainable Packaging – Updated Situation of Packaging Waste and Regulations, Dr. Nopparat Viriyakitpattana, Research Officer from Packaging Development Laboratory, TPC narrated the Packaging Technology and Innovation – Fundamental of Packaging, Dr. Sathukarn Kabcum, Research Officer from Packaging Development Laboratory, TPC gave a lecture on the Packaging Technology and Innovation – Current Packaging Technology and Innovation, and Ms. Pattamaphorn Phuangngamphan, Research Officer from Expert Centre of Innovative Clean Energy and Environment presented the Sustainable Packaging – Solutions for MSMEs on Packaging Waste.
