The Meeting between TISTR and Saudi Arabian Delegations for Educational Collaboration

On 17 November 2023, Dr. Pattra Maneesin, Deputy Governor of Industrial Services, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), together with Dr. Anat Hasap, Director of the Railway Transportation System Testing Centre (RTTC), Dr. Boonnanida Sodha, Director of the International Relations Division (IRD) and Ms. Maneerat Juttulapa, Researcher and Manager of Innovative Cosmetic Services Center (ICOS) joined in welcoming the distinguished delegations from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Ms. Hala Ibrahim H Halawani, GM of Education Sector Development (Acting), Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Dr. Hesham Adnan M Malak, Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Umm al-Qura University and the representatives from King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences.

The main meeting objective is to enhance educational ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Thailand by establishing the initial steps for collaboration to create a strong and effective roadmap for fostering partnerships among universities.

On this occasion, TISTR has shared insights through the presentation and laboratory tour, conducted by Dr. Anat Hasap on the work achievements in rail transportation system and other activities, including the collaborations with international organizations and the directions and opportunities for future collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the event, the Saudi Arabian delegations have also visited the Innovative Cosmetic Services Center (ICOS), which provides comprehensive cosmetic production services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), startups, and community enterprises. The center aims to support the total solutions for beyond beauty to advance research and facilitate business development through production and technology transfer for entrepreneurs to integrate into their operations.

ICOS is one of the infrastructures of TISTR operated under the supervision of Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb). The laboratory has also been certified in compliance with OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) by the Bureau of Laboratory Quality Standards, Department of Medical Sciences (DMSc), Ministry of Public Health.
