On 21 September 2026, Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), led by Mr. Montree Keawdoung, Director of Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg), together with Mr. Jirawat Watthanabut, Director of Innovative Business Services Division, and researchers from the Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg) and the Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb), welcomed a delegation from the Yunnan Provincial Academy of Science and Technology (YPAST), led by Mr. Hu QiXiang, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and President of YPAST, as well as representatives from the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), People’s Republic of China. The visit was held to discuss and exchange information on industrial technology research and development, technology transfer, and the commercial utilization of research results at TISTR Technopolis.
During the meeting, TISTR presented its services and technology transfer activities, as well as research and development on ornamental plants and tissue culture technology. Both sides also exchanged information and discussed areas of mutual interest, including research and academic collaboration, researcher and technology exchanges, as well as cooperation in agriculture, ornamental plants, mushrooms, seed preservation and conservation, and the application of plant properties and active compounds in the development of extracts and health products.
The delegation also visited TISTR’s Industrial Plant Production and Breeding Laboratory to learn about TISTR’s research and development on ornamental plants and the application of technologies for plant propagation and breeding. The visit also provided an opportunity for the delegation and TISTR researchers to exchange knowledge and experiences.
