MHESI Strengthens Thailand-China AI Partnerships with Shenzhen Industry Leaders

On 31 March 2026, The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) of Thailand, welcomed executive delegation from Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association and CEOs from 15 China’s leading AI companies from Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of MHESI, to discuss bilateral cooperation in AI technology and advance the creation of a global research and innovation network. Key meeting participants included Asst. Prof. Dr. Weerachai Arjharn, Governor of TISTR, and MHESI senior executive and representatives from Thailand’s leading innovative and industrial agencies.

The meeting aimed to share the strategic directions of AI technology between Thailand and China, fostering mutual understanding of their respective innovation ecosystems. This includes laying the foundation for AI collaborative research and AI technology applications in the real-world industries to enhance competitiveness, and building business networks. Furthermore, the meeting aimed to connect Thai businesses with leading Chinese technology companies to catalyze joint ventures, market expansion, and the commercialization of laboratory-based innovations into scalable business solutions and future investment opportunities.
