(5 -7 March 2026) Lam Taklong Research Station, under the Expert Center of Innovative Agricultures (InnoAg) of TISTR, organized a training program of ‘Developing Factors for Producing High-Quality Ornamental Plants (Marigolds, Chrysanthemums, and Asters)’, as a part of the Project ‘Creative Agricultural Innovations of Ornamental Plant Production for Industry and Tourism’, at Lam Taklong Research Station, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It aimed to provide comprehensive knowledge of ornamental plant production and recruit members for the Knowledge Center of Ornamental Plants Technology and Innovation to form a national learning network.
The program included both theorical and practical sessions. The theorical topics covered innovation in aster production, nutrient management, soil and material improvement, pest and disease management, and seasonal marigold seed varieties. The practical topics focused on planting material production, machinery use, irrigation systems, agricultural microorganism, and fertilizer production.
Seventy participating farmers are expected to apply these insights to their own agricultural activities. Participants who attended both sessions received certificates presented by Dr. Cholticha Niwaspragit, Senior Research Officer of InnoAg of TISTR, on behalf of Assistant Professor Dr. Weerachai Arjharn, Governor of TISTR. Supported by the partners such as KUBOTA, ‘Home Seed’, ‘I Love Flower’ and related businesses, the program concluded with participants joining a network to exchange knowledge and build a sustainable community of ornamental producers driven by TISTR’s research and innovation.
