On 15 February 2023, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR, Dr. Pattra Maneesin, Deputy Governor of Industrial Services, Dr. Sorada Wanlapa, Deputy Governor of R&D Group for Bio-industries, and Dr. Pratip Vongbandit, Deputy Governor of R&D Group for Sustainable Development warmly welcomed H.E. Mrs. Millicent Cruz Paredes, Ambassador of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Thailand and delegation to TISTR Headquarters in order to discuss the potential cooperation on the application of STI to strengthen Thai and Philippine SMEs and entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TISTR is striving to strengthen SMEs and communities through an innovation, science, and technology ecosystem for sustainability. On this occasion, Dr. Sorada delivered a presentation on TISTR\u2019s achievements in BCG and STI services aiming to increase the economic value of agricultural products, develop the economy in rural areas through modern agriculture, and build the capacity of biotechnology innovation in agriculture, functional food, and pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Ambassador and delegation from the Philippine embassy in Thailand visited the Biodegradable Testing Center (BioD), Food Innovation Service Plant (FISP), and Innovative Center for Production of Industrially used Microorganisms (ICPIM). Research and development and technology transfer of agricultural raw material processing, probiotic products, packaging development, and product testing and analysis to meet international standards were of their interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this regard, TISTR executives and the Philippine Embassy in Thailand exchanged perspectives on technology transfer to fulfill the needs of entrepreneurs and the ease of access to technology for entrepreneurs by providing shared infrastructures and facilities, as well as offering specific training courses and consultancy services to enhance the capabilities of the entrepreneurs, upgrade the product standards, increase their competitiveness in export markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
