On 4 February 2026, TISTR led by Dr. Rochana Tangkoonboribun, Deputy Governor of Strategies and Innovation Management, together with Mrs. Sirinan Thubthimthed, Advisor, TISTR executives, researchers from the Expert Centre of Innovative Health Food (InnoFood), and the International Relations team, warmly welcomed Honourable Datuk Hajah Rosey Haji Yunus, Deputy Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development of Sarawak, Malaysia. The delegation also included representatives from the Sarawak Women and Family Department, the Social Welfare Department, and the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit featured a welcome speech by Dr. Rochana, followed by a presentation by Dr. Thanchanok Muangman, Director of InnoFood, highlighting the Centre\u2019s mission, key R&D initiatives, and the application of research and technology transfer to support entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both sides exchanged insights on research application, technology transfer, and innovation to enhance productivity, improve quality, and strengthen the competitiveness of the food and beverage industry, with a focus on empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation also visited TISTR\u2019s Co-Creation Food Space (COFS), guided by Mrs. Sirinan and Ms. Rewadee Meesat, Senior Research Officer of InnoFood. COFS is a one-stop service facility offering food and beverage R&D, product formulation, GMP-compliant production and packaging, ISO\/IEC 17025:2017-accredited sensory testing, training programmes, and food processing technology transfer. It is fully equipped with machinery and appliances to support SMEs and OTOP entrepreneurs in enhancing market competitiveness, promoting career development, and strengthening income stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
