Dr. Rochana Tangkoonboribun, Director of the Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg), along with the representatives from TISTR’s International Relations Division, participated in the “Reception of the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the People\u2019s Republic of China.” The event was organized by the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Thailand on 30 June 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Charg\u00e9 d’affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the People\u2019s Republic of China in Thailand, and Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, warmly welcomed a large number of distinguished guests, including ministers from various ministries, Thai politicians, members of the diplomatic corps, commanders of all armed forces, representatives from Thai-Chinese associations, and delegations from leading companies. Both representatives delivered speeches emphasizing the strong friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thailand and China have continuously developed their relationship across various dimensions, including economic and trade, cultural, educational, and scientific and technological cooperation. In particular, the collaboration in science, technology, and innovation (STI) has seen significant growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TISTR has been actively promoting cooperation with Chinese research institutions and industries in areas such as agricultural innovation, engineering, and the development of automotive and rail systems technologies fields that have great potential to sustainably enhance Thailand\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
