On 7 September 2022, the Expert Center of Innovative Clean Energy and Environment (InnoEn) of TISTR organized a hybrid event of APEC Webinar ‘Municipal Solid Waste Management by Circular Economy Concept’, under the APEC project ‘Municipal Solid Waste Management according to BCG Principles toward Sustainable Development Goals’, at Rama Garden Hotel Bangkok, Thailand.
The project is supported by APEC Policy Partnership on Science, Technology and Innovation (PPSTI) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) – Thailand. At the opening ceremony of the event, Professor Sirirurg Songsivilai, M.D., Ph.D., Permanent Secretary of MHESI, came to open the event. During the event, there were many representatives and participants from private and public sectors in Thailand and APEC economies who came to attend the event both on-site and online.
This APEC Webinar aims to enhance APEC economies’ capacity of municipal solid waste management according to circular economy concept by provide a platform to share and exchange knowledge and experience of good practices as lessons learned, including case studies of municipal solid waste management implemented in Thailand and APEC economies (Japan, Chinese Taipei and Singapore), including a presentation of the global plastic outlook by OECD.
