On 22 July 2026, Dr. Siriporn Larpkiattaworn, Chief Research Expert, together with Dr. Boonnanida Sodha, Director of the International Relations Division, and International Relations Team participated in a planning meeting for a joint seminar on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for Water Treatment with the representatives from the Department of Water Resources, Thailand, the Australian Embassy in Thailand, Monash University, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia, to discuss collaborative activities and knowledge exchange.

During the meeting, Dr. Siriporn presented TISTR’s Constructed Wetland for Water Treatment project, highlighting its application of nature-based solutions for community water treatment. She also shared implementation experiences, key achievements, challenges, and opportunities for further collaboration with Monash University and the Department of Water Resources. The discussion focused on enhancing the technology to better suit Thailand’s local context and promote its sustainable adoption in communities.
The participants also agreed to jointly organize a seminar in September 2026 to exchange global knowledge and case studies on water treatment technologies, followed by a hands-on workshop in December 2026. These activities aim to co-design practical and sustainable water treatment solutions that effectively address community needs.
