TISTR attended the International Conference on Green Technologies for Climate Action and Resilience and the 19th Session of the Governing Council of the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) in Uzbekistan

On 5-7 December 2023, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISR together with Dr. Boonnanida Sodha, Director of the International Relations Division were the representatives attending the International Conference on Green Technologies for Climate Action and Resilience and the 19th Session of the Governing Council of the Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT), which was jointly organized by the APCTT, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and the Agency for Innovative Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

On 5 December 2023, Dr. Chutima and Dr. Boonnanida attended the International Conference on Green Technologies for Climate Action and Resilience. The international workshop aimed to increase knowledge on enabling policies, innovative applications, and good practices in green technologies for climate action and resilience, as well as foster cross-border collaboration among stakeholders to adopt green technologies in the region. In this regard, Dr. Boonnanida delivered the presentation on “Tan Diao Model – Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management” in Panel Discussion: Cultivating Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing – Driving Sustainable and Green Technology Solutions for Enhancing Climate Resilience with other representatives from 8 countries such as Russia, China, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.

On 6-7 December 2023, Dr. Chutima, assigned by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), along with Dr. Boonnanida participated in the 19th Session of the Governing Council of the APCTT. The meeting focused on reviewing the activities of the Centre in 2023 and planned work programmes for 2024 and discussing the draft evaluation report of the APCTT for the period 2019-2023. On this occasion, Dr. Chutima proposed the “Tan Diao Model – Sustainable Municipal Solid Waste Management” for the work programme for 2024 with other representatives from 10 member countries including Russia, China, South Korea, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
