The 2nd TISTR – AIST Mini Joint Symposium
TISTR and National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan organized The 2nd TISTR – AIST Mini Joint Symposium on 4th of March 2019 at
TISTR Technopolish, Tahiland.
In this event, Dr. Chutima Eamchotchawalit, Governor of TISTR together with Prof. Dr. Yoshihiro Ohmiya, Director of Biomedical Research Institute (BMRI), AIST presided over the opening ceremony. Besides, there was experience sharing on international collaboration and suggestion from both TISTR and AIST. TISTR also provided special event for AIST delegation which is Marigold planting on the occasion of the 56th TISTR anniversary.
The Symposium gathered participants about 80 persons from AIST’s Research Institutes namely Biomedical Research Institute (BMRI), Bioproduction Research Institute (BPRI), and Shimadzu Corporation and TISTR’s Centre namely Expert Centre of Innovative Agriculture (InnoAg), Expert Centre of Innovative Herbal Products (InnoHerb), Expert Centre of Innovative Health Food (InnoFood), and Biodiversity Research Centre (BRC).
The symposium was divided in to 3 sessions for sharing and learning from both sides which are session 1: Pharmaceutical Technology, session 2: Biotechnology, Bioassay, and Microorganism and session 3: Agricultural Science and Technology. Both sides presented on many topics and found several common interested for expanding new collaboration in the future.
By this event, on 5th March 2019 the delegation of “The 2nd TISTR-AIST Mini Joint Symposium” visited The Flora Tale and Tropical Insect Sanctuary at Lamtakhong Research Station, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
