Beginning with an overview of the energy scenario across the ASEAN region, this session will consist of regional and country specific perspectives on current priorities for renewable energy development.  These will be examined in the context of the APG and help shape the rest of the day’s discussions.

Understanding the Near Term Goals at the Country and Regional Levels
Building off of earlier discussions, this session will serve as a platform for participants to highlight challenges and opportunities with developing and integrating higher shares of non-hydro renewables into the region and the developing APG that should be considered in designing an implementation plan for the ASEAN Clean Energy Corridor.

ASEAN Clean Energy Corridor: Identifying Priority Actions at the Country Level
With a view to identifying key components of an implementation plan for the initiative, participants will brainstorm ways in which they can continue to work together within their individual countries over the coming years to realize a region and an APG with increasing shares of non-hydro renewable energy.

ASEAN Clean Energy Corridor: Identifying Priority Actions at the Regional Level
Following the country specific discussion, participants will analyse options for how they can continue to work together over the coming years to realise a region and an APG with increasing shares of non-hydro renewable energy and identify key areas that the ASEAN Clean Energy Corridor should focus on.

The afternoon session will also give development partners the opportunity to exchange views on potential areas and activities of mutual interest at the country or regional level.
